My name is Hunter Stroud, owner and founder of Strouds Custom Glides & Baits (SCGB). At 27 years old, I’ve spent my entire life in the outdoors—whether it’s chasing waterfowl, calling in spring gobblers, or spending long days on the water fishing. The outdoors isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a lifestyle. I officially started SCGB in August of 2025, but the passion behind it was built long before that. Years of fishing and hands-on experience on the water pushed me to start creating custom painted baits

Bass Slappin Customs Lures are hand made spinner baits. They range from 4-6 skirts in many colors. They have hand painted tungsten weights in 3 sizes.

With over 20 years of bait building experience and 60+ molds I build almost anything with a hook,lead, and wire. Jigheads, jigs, bladed jigs, buzzbaits,spinnerbaits, Alabama Rigs, and more. I dont limit my colors to a certain list or set #, I will customize or modify any color and sometimes even the features of the jigheads themselves. My favorite thing however is the hybrids skirt designs I employ on my bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Do you want you want to pick your own colors? Right baits, right hands at the right time. Every pattern and blank is regularly used by us tried and true. We are big on giving out baits to youngsters and people who can’t afford equipment to see everyone catch fish. Focus heavy on what works at that moment but will customize any pattern for a customer. Just about Everything from mini crank baits to 8in glides we start prepping for the season but can still throw together whatever whenever.

Started in my basement with a 3D printer and a obsession with fishing the Northeast. I design every lure from scratch, add the hooks, hand-paint them, and take them straight to the water to see if they actually work. No shortcuts. If it doesn’t catch fish, it doesn’t ship.
